I specialize in bulding fly rods, specifically Trout, Steelhead, Spey, Saltwater and Warmwater rods but can custom build any rod to suit your needs. As a starting point, I have put together several options for each type of rod for your consideration. Please understand that the listed prices reflect the use of top quality components, including solid titanium guides and reel seat parts in some cases and highly figured burl woods. My standard options produce a special fly rod that is very different from rods produced by the big companies.

All prices are for 4 piece rods, and are in Canadian funds. The prices include the cost of a rod sock and aluminum tube. However, prices do not include shipping to the customer.

I use a mechanical line rating system for the switch and spey rods I build. This produces very accurate assignments for appropriate line weights for the tested rod. This eliminates expensive guess work to determine which lines work best for your rod and specific casting style. I can also provide this service to my customers for other switch and spey rods they may own.
